UFC Fight Night 46 Dublin Bonus Payout

DUBLIN – Conor McGregor, Gunnar Nelson, Cathal Pendred and Mike King each earned $50,000 fight-night bonuses for their performances at today’s UFC Fight Night 46 event.

McGregor and Nelson took home “Performance of the Night” awards, and Pendred and King earned “Fight of the Night” honors.

UFC President Dana White announced the winners after the event.

McGregor (15-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) had tons of hype behind him heading into the main event against Diego Brandao (18-10 MMA, 4-3 UFC). And he didn’t disappoint. There were only moments in the fight he was stymied by Brandao before he unleashed a flurry of strikes to put the Brazilian away in the first round.

Nelson (13-0-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) put on a masterful performance against Zak Cummings (17-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC). He made things calm and calculated through the first round, not throwing much – but what he did throw, he landed. In the second, after staving off a Cummings takedown attempt, he quickly took Cummings’ back on the ground and went after a rear-naked choke. With just 12 seconds left in the round, he had the finish.

Pendred (14-2-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) took a beating from King (5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in the first round of their fight on the prelims. But after the first round, it looked like King was exhausted. And eventually, Pendred took advantage in the second, choking his “TUF 19″ teammate unconscious with a rear-naked choke.
