In our latest WSOF 11 sit-down with MMAjunkie’s John Morgan, co-headliners Jon Fitch and Dennis Hallman hit on a variety of topics, including Fitch’s growing resentment toward reigning WSOF welterweight champ Rousimar Palhares.
Fitch (25-6-1), who meets Hallman (53-14-2) in Saturday’s NBC-televised co-main event at Ocean Center in Daytona, Fla., originally was scheduled to fight Palhares (16-6) for the title. But Palhares withdrew from the fight after his mom was scheduled for surgery to treat extreme thrombosis in her legs.
After a series of changes, Fitch ultimately was booked against fellow vet Hallman, but he’s still ticked he lost the original fight with Palhares.
“I think it’s kind of disgusting that he could turn down a title defense on NBC,” said Fitch, who is one of the bigger names on the organization’s first network-televised card. “Yeah, his mother was sick, but my dad’s having a heart procedure the Tuesday before our fight, so stuff happens. Deal with it.”
So why the animosity?
“I have a distaste for unprofessional behavior,” he said. “I act in a very professional way in this sport. I take it very serious, and I do not like it when people come around and act in an amateur way.”

Sooo... Palhares vs. Fitch. Now, you can't tell me you don't want to see it. In fact, at this point I don't think I'm looking forward to anything more than to see Fitch fight the monster.
Your thoughts on the matter and generally on their potential fight? It wouldn't be potential if Palhares wasn't a sissy.
