I'm trying to work out a cool new live show which doesn't endanger my macbook! (last year i left it in so many dangerous places, it was terrifying). I have the MPC 1000 maxed out with 80 gig drive and JJOS2xl so I'm hoping to trigger most of my drums as sequences on there and send MIDI from the sequences out to some kind of portable loop pedal (Which I can sing into) and then feed into a chaos pad or some kind of cool ass filter!
My style's kind of a stripped down, not as good as Com Truise thing.
1. Any suggestions for kickass portable synths. I had a Microkorg, but I found the little keys annoying. Anything that's better, still cheap(ish), with some sick bass sounds?
2. The MPC1000 should send midi but it doesn't have a mic input so I want to feed it into some kind of small looper that does, any suggestions?
MPC (beats)>looper(vox+synth)>fx is the basic setup idea.
Any thoughts, suggestions would be welcome!
