Finally got the go ahead for a powered sub for 3pc R&R (50's-80's), drums, bass guitar, vocals. Checked music stores but can't find the Peavey sub to audition. We use a Mackie 808s for tops (2-12" Peavey Scorpions which sound great and 2 monitors). We play small to midsize lounges. Has anyone had experience with either or both of these subs. Mainly concerned about reliability. We're not so much looking for very deep bass, but a combination of bass and punch. I've been racking my brain for months on this issue. Also I've noticed some B-Stock Yamaha subs for sale. Has anyone had problems with B-Stock. Thanks very much for any help.
Yamaha dxs12 sub, or Peavey PVXp sub?
