No matter which way I swing it, I am getting to the point where I don't really like digital reverb. I don't know why, I just don't think it is right for my style of music and no matter how subtle I make it, when I can hear it I am put off by it. On some elements OK here and there but over the main mix elements (guitar vocals and drums) I can't say it brings anything to the table. So I got to thinking of my favorite music and had a listen to some of it and indeed there is very little or no reverb on a lot of it. I could be wrong and maybe it is used in a clever way so it is enhancing the track without being noticeable but I have read tons of books and played with my reverbs for hours without much luck. Anyway, long story short, I wanted to ask other members here if they know of commercial singer-songwriter or acoustic music with very little or no added reverb. The most "well-known" that I can think of is this album by Ben harper which is one of my favorite albums ever.
