Hi guys!
Please forgive me if on the surface this question seems stupid :)
I bought a SM7 (the original, not a SM7a or SM7b) from a local studio that closed.
My Interface is a Universal Audio Twin Duo and I'm using a Neve 1073 Pre Amp Plug In.
For a reference point of the input level on the Duo, let's say completely off is 7 o'clock and fully on is 5 o'clock.
I'm able to get a great signal at the 2 o'clock position.
I'm always reading on gearslutz that because of the Sm7's low output, it needs the CL-1 and when used makes the Sm7 come alive.
So my stupid question is what will a Cloudlifter give me that I'm not understanding or thinking about?

Do I need a Cloudlifter CL-1?
