Heya guys
I am relatively new to sound production; I have been using DAWs to write music for about two years now, but have only recently decided to start taking it more seriously and finally make the move from spending most of my time on an electric guitar to focussing more on synthesizers. Of course, using a soft synth like Absynth or Massive is generally monotonous, I would like to move to some proper hardware to actually get a feel for a synthesizer.
I've done a little research and am currently stuck between these two-
The Roland JD-Xi
Roland - JD-Xi | Interactive Analog/Digital Crossover Synthesizer
a new Digital/Analog hybrid synth
Roland Alpha Juno 1 or 2
Roland Alpha Juno 2 | Vintage Synth Explorer
vintage synth, totally analog and affordable
I write mostly ambient / liquid drum and bass and would appreciate recommendations for a first synthesizer. Also, if anyone has any other reccommendations as opposed to the two listed, please let me know. I would prefer analog with ease of programming and generally in the £300-£400 range, but open to any ideas that might work for me
Thanks, guys
Also, here's my soundcloud
