Yamaha dxr through to IEM

Our keyboard player uses a yamaha dxr as his onstage monitor. He wants to dabble with an IEM. Not too fussy about sound quality so was wondering if he picked up something small and entry level like this baby

then ran a line from the dxr it would give him what he's looking for.



Heres the question, is that line out from the DXR controlled by the master volume on the DXR so if he turned down the DXR would that also turn down his level. Preferably this would not be the case and the fischer would have its own line level independent of the DXR.



I can test this easy enough at the weekend by running a line from the DXR into another DXR I have but was wondering anyway.



edit: obviously this is just trying to avoid sending another aux over to him if possible
