SCI Pro-One was my the very first expensive analog synth in 2008 which I bought for 800 euros. Then I had to sell it away in order to fund new things in 2009 and ever since, I missed it because I'm still having hard time finding any other synthesizer with equivalently fast envelopes.
One friend claimed that CEMs contains build-in envelope smoother so it should make less punch for everything until manufacturers managed to bypass that feature. Is it true???
What makes Pro-One so exceptionally fast? I mean, I have Roland SH-09 but even with its totally discreet components it's still not as fast as Pro-One.
What are realistic alternatives for 1000 euros price (more or less)? Waldorf Pulse? MFB Dominion? Vermona Perfourmer? Pro One 2 with it's 1700 euros price goes too high for me, I guess.
I have heard demos of original ARP Odyssey and it apparently contains very fast envelopes too, but how well it goes in Korg's reissue?

SCI Pro-One alternatives for punchy basses?
