Alesis Quadraverb Clicks + Noise

I just picked up a Quadraverb for an external snare reverb. Some of the sounds are perfect,.. however..



The first thing I did was play about with the unit - and it clicks between patches. Like REALLY badly. It's almost unusable if you want to cycle between Plate and Room because of the impulses. There are several issues with the delay on presets not triggering sometimes too. I've went into the mix section and they're (master, pitch, verb, delay) all set at 40%.



Does anyone have experience of a similar problem of clicking between patches?

I'm giving it to a tech early next week, but upon visual inspection the circuit board seems clean and nothing's loose.
