Interesting Paper re the History of Recording Studios Written By Bill Putnam

Came across this really interesting paper on the history of recording studios up to the 80s. It was written by none other than Bill Putnam. I had always envisioned the guy as kind of a ruff and tough seat of the pants kind of guy but after reading this, I realize he was more like a scientist.
