Rode NT1-A sounds windy + is it a fake?

I bought a Rode NT1-A off of kijiji the other day and its been working great. However today I went to record and upon plugging it in there was a loud wind/blowing sound coming from the mic. It is the same problem that this poster had, however no solution was ever offered:

I also have to point out that the mic doesn't look like the majority of pictures of it on the internet.

Most pictures look like this : http://ift.tt/1CQPmQu

Mine looks like this : http://ift.tt/1CQPmQy

I also noticed that one of connector pins either isn't the same length as the others, or has been pulled out too far somehow. It slips out a bit when I take the cable out, and if I try to push it inwards it still does not retract to the same level as the other pins.

I know it is an issue with the microphone as I have tried a different microphone, different cable, different computer, and different interface, and the only common denominator to the problem was the mic.

I am hoping someone could offer a solution to this problem, or perhaps point me in the right direction. I have no experience in dealing with technical issues regarding microphones.

Thank you in advanced.
