Does my tracking room need a carpet?

I am tracking guitars and vocals and mixing in a 11ft X 16ft room with a laminate wood floor. I have treatments as per GIK acoustics video on "the basics" using a cloud, 4 corner bass traps and 1st reflection points etc etc. I was wondering if over and above this I should also have a carpet where I am tracking? I find that my recordings (guitar especially) has too much high end and want to remedy this
