As there's been almost endless analog, digital-analog and workstation discussion lately, I'm interested in this neglected topic. I wonder if there may be a larger, forgotten market than some people think for new, more immediately controllable and hands-on interfaces for FM synthesis - and, separately or combined with this topic, its integration with other technologies such as analog filters. I know there's been discussion of FM innovations before, but I'm particularly interested in this idea of making FM more immediately accessible, and what might be both the obstacles to and benefits of this. What do people think ?
