Recording setup help - next step

I have a setup that works but could be better. I'd like some help with my next steps.

I have some nice preamps (Warm Audio, Ocean Audio, La Chappel) in 500 series format. I have some colour modules (Joe Meek, Clariphonic and Aural exciter). I'm using a Behringer X32 as mixer, inserts, AD/DA converter and USB sound card. I suspect this is the weak link. I like the X32 as I can maintain each preamp with its own channel. I also like the 6 aux sends which I have to the comps and EQs which then come back as dedicated channels so I can record multiple tracks. 1) Uncolored preamp, 2)Aural exciter etc then blend these tracks to control how much color I get. Once in the computer I use Sonar which has all the features I need now. I do not currently send from the computer to external effects.

To replace the X32 I'd need an analogue mixer + AD/DA conversion + a sound card. What are my options here? Budget wise, I guess I could get 1800 or so for the X32. I could probably scrounge 2000 in addition to that.

I'd like to be able to record 8 tracks simultaneously. That should be sufficient. Also, mics - I have 2x Blue Baby Bottle, 2x Blue Sparks, 1x Blue Bluebird and 2x GA Projects R2 Ribbon.
