Right, so I came across this Roland Jupiter 8 the other day on eBay and of course bid on it when the price was in the $3K USD range.
Roland Jupiter 8 Analog Synth JP8 9786138756767 | eBay
I checked the listing today and noticed the JP8 sold for $1.00 USD!!! Are you kidding me??? I can't believe this to be possible, otherwise someone got the deal of the century.
What are your thoughts -- legit or scam?
Maybe he found someone who wanted to buy offline and so he cancelled everyone else's bids, as he did here: eBay.com Item Bid History
Anyone see this type of behaviour before on eBay?

SOME BACKGROUND:
I needed to "request permission" from the seller to even be able to bid in the first place. Eventually he declines my bid, citing that only those in Spain are allowed to bid.
He said he was open to offers and did request my email to continue the discussion, I also noticed he's based in Spain but his original eBay account was created in Poland a number of years back (maybe he moved to Spain?).
Most of his eBay feedback seems positive but could they be shill accounts? He provided a serial # that indicated the JP8 to be an early 12 bit unit but told me it was a 14-bit unit, when I checked the serial # database this didn't make sense.
Anyway some of it didn't add up so it really makes me wonder if this was a legit auction and if someone actually did get this JP8 for $1.00 USD... they'd be the luckiest person on earth if so! :)
