I updated my Imac from Mountain Lion 10.8.5 OSX to Yosemite last week in order to use the new Logic Pro X 10.1 update. I was getting a lot of unusual CPU spikes - and overload messages when I used the new update with Yosemite - particularly when turning on several plugins. This from just a couple of audio tracks - and several aux channels with reverbs, EQ, and compressors
Today's update for Yosemite - 10.10.2 - seems to have fixed much of the CPU spikes in my recording setup. No overload - or crashes yet. Seems to show at least 20 -30%% less CPU use in the Imac activity monitor - and also Logic Pro core monitor gauge.
