At the moment the only mic I have is an SE Electronics Z5600aII but for acoustic guitar recordings I'm not getting the sound I'm looking for, so I'm currently in the market for an SDC. I've been looking at a Shure SM81 or a Rode NT-5 with the Michael Joly capsule. Anyone have experiences with these two options? Any advice?
I've also had a look at Michael Jolys SDC pair (MJE-384).

I'd be spending quite a bit more if I went for those but I'm open to considering it if it would make a real dramatic difference. Any experiences with this pair?

Oh by the way, my guitar is a 2008 Gibson J185EC
And my interface/pre amp is the Steinberg MR816
