Has anyone successfully aggregated a Duet 2 and a Scarlett Solo (or Scarlett 2i2)?
I have a session coming up with a couple of friends that I recorded 6 years ago.
Vocal (1ch) and acoustic guitar (mid/side plus di = 3ch). 4 channels live.
I don't really record anymore, though, and sold my 500 series preamps, Metric Halo 2882s and ULN2 years ago. Just a Duet 2 and DBX 386 are left now. I still have the mics I need, fortunately.
I've successfully aggregated my Duet 2 with my Mac Pro's internal sound card, feeding the 1/8" input with my DBX 386 preamp. It's very solid at 128 samples. But there is a good bit of noise on that line input that I'm sure would be minimized with something like a Scarlett. I'd be using those extra 2 channels for the side figure8 mic, and DI. Mid mic and vocal mic going through Duet 2.
Looking for reports that this can even be done.
Thanks.
