Monitors $1000 Range

I've been searching for a pair of studio monitors lately in the $1000 range. I know this opens a floodgate of opinions and options, and I realize that asking for advice is going to be based on YOUR ears/room//etc. But I see a lot of the same brands/models floating around, so just looking for some solid opinions to clarify where I should focus my attention.



I have no brand loyalty and am open minded on what's out there. But haven't really found a hands down frontrunner or product of the year type winner.



Any thoughts?
