I have a normal hifi system with a nad D3020, boston a26 and a 12" subwoofer (not at all using the subwoofer to it's max potential and placement isn't optimal because of space limteds).
I sometimes have a boomy soft bas and sometimes i need a bit more tight, punch bass using my subwoofer, atm i try my system without the subwoofer and i feel like the time when i had no subwoofer, i do feel at low volume the lack of bass, not as much as i did before i bought my 12" subwoofer, mabye because i know i can just turn on my subwoofer and then have the bass my boston's are missing.
To start with the previous speakers i had, i had the yamaha hs8 not bad at all just way to big on my desk, 5's to much midrange and the hs7 not enough bass, so i sold them and got the Krk Rokit 5 g3 (have had the g2 's for more then a year),with the speakers i had hum/ground loop problems i solved by buying a humm, groundloop box, the krk's had alot of bass (i didn't at all have the need for a subwoofer), but the upper midrange, lower trebel was just to soft, made them very good at high levels but lacked clarity at those frequencys shown in the youtube video around 2000-4000hz.
Unexpectedly when my x wanted to by my lap top for at uncredible high price, i said to my self i wanted to upgrade and bought the nad amp and boston speakers.
Now i want to see if i can get som other speakers with more power in the area between midrange and subwoofer (crossover with the subwoofer 80hz) so i am looking for more punchy speakers and even with the hum, groundloop and upper midrange, lower treble problems i had, i thought of the krk rokit g3's, when i sold my krk rookit 5 g3 i didn't think the 6' would be a big enough upgrade, i mostly wanted more clarity around 2000-4000hz
My Question is do the krk rokit 6 g3 has this lowered upper midrang.lower treble that makes it very soft to listen to but makes it lake clarity like in the video? (i know i can just go out to a store and listen, but with the 5's i only noticed this unaturally soft area around 2000-4000hz long time after i could have returned them and gotten my money back)
