Hey, I just notice the other day that Steam (the current multi-platform gaming provider by Valve) not stocks digital Pro Audio applications. Also I notice that there is not that much available there yet, certainly nothing a full blown Cubase or Pro Tools user would want to exchange there rigs for but nonetheless I think it would be cool if there were more music apps on there that I could take advantage of using all of Steams cloud technology.
I personally have some interest to see some titles such as stand alone apps, editors, composition software and tablet programs, even FL Studio would be a ideal sequencer for that setup... Even other programs like Liquid Notes, for example... Reason would not be bad as well... Maybe not??
I think it has some potential, right now I think there primary target audience is for home DJ's and other non-proaudio apps, which is kind of a shame as well... Even though a lot computers out there are not sporting ASIO sound cards but it is all easy to support with the ASIO4ALL and other similar drivers out there so that those apps can just "work" on any computer out there, no trouble.
At the end of the day I think we are all better off with easier ways to keep the 300 installed plugins up-to-date with out having to do that manually each time.
cheersheh
