Was not able to find a satisfying answer to my question so I'll see if anyone can help me out.
I'm planning on setting up a project studio in a room that has recently become spare in my house. I won't go into details of size but it's big enough to get my desk and equipment in while having the rear of the monitors at least a foot away from the wall going down the length of the room (which is a littler longer than the width) so it's a reasonably ideal space for a home set up.
Anyway that's not really important in regards to my question, what I want to ask is that 3 of the walls in that room are plasterboard with air or fiber based insulation between them as far as i'm aware (noise leakage is not an issue and I don't listen at extreme volumes anyway). Now with that in mind would full floor to ceiling bass traps really be needed in all corners as most of the low end would pass through those 3 walls without much effort, correct? I'll also be using 5 inch woofer monitors (Adam F5's) so i'm not producing huge amounts of low end anyway.
I don't have a large budget or much time to do DIY work so was wondering if I could save some money by only dealing with the corners that joined the concrete/brick wall and still get a decent sounding result in the low end?
Thanks.
