Kicked around a single channel strip, Empress Para EQ/Compressor, tube preamp , effectrode compressor and an Avalon U5.
Looking for preamp with strong eq that would optimize Lyric. I'd like to fatten tone while adding harmonics/Sparkle. Klon helped with note separation. Have tried acouswiitch, red-eye and Baggs. I'd like to move up a level or two on quality.
Liked the looks of a couple mic preamps that had instrument inputs.
Really would like to stick with single channel.
Any recommendations?
