Can't find where to install plugins, missing folder

Hey all, this is my first post here and I'm in desperate need of help... I've just downloaded a bunch of plug-ins from online and I can't figure out where to install them so that pro-tools reads them and they are accessible in my DAW. Usually as I understand it you go to Library>Application Support>DigiDesign>Plug-ins but there is no folder called "Plug-ins" in my DigiDesign folder. I tried creating a folder with that name but that also didn't work. Does anyone know any other place to install plug-ins to, or anything I could try/do??

The frustrating part is that I've installed third party plug-ins before (bittersweet V.2), but I can't seem to find where I installed them...



Any help or advice would be VERY MUCH appreciated. Thanks! Oh, and yes I'm positive that the plug-ins are compatable with pro-tools and all that jazz.
