Hi
I need to get a Roland TD15KV working with RZdrummer 2 in cubase 8.0.5 on an Imac.
Right now i can barely hear my drums in my headphones and the drums are also a little laggy even at 32 buffers off my Apogee Symphony. themix is bad to between the song and the drums
Here are the details.
1) TD module USB midi out to Imac - loaded Roland driver
2) In cubase i set up an instrument track with TD 15 as input and EZD2 as output
3) drums test fine, when i play the kit i see the drums being played in cubase and EZDD2 (i set EZD2 to roland).
4) the drums are loud and clear when i play them back
5) On Apogee Symphony 2x6 i set buffers to 32
6) out of back of Symphony i feed 2 cables to an art headphone amp (my kit is about 15 feet away so i cant put headphones directly into the symphony)
7) I plug my headphones into the ART and i play and here is where its bad. drums are low and get lost in the mix, song is bad sounding (take my headphones off and thru my opals all sounds great) and its got some latency
- drums are low and get lost in the song, faders and mix is fine outside of headphones
- there is a little lag, enough its hard to play, AT 32 buffers from symphony
i must be doing something wrong
is there anyone who uses a Roland TD kit with a symphony, headphone amp, and cubase? i tried the Vdrum forums and steinberg sand have gotten enough help that i know that the mix should be great with no lag in my headphones.
thanks for any help
