Preventing the effects of local radiation on studio gear

I wonder if anyone has ever had the situation of your studio gear being effected by local interferance or "jamming" by nearby sources. If you have could you please give me advice as to what can be done to protect your equipment and keep out the local noise or the effects of "jamming". Can you insulate or shield your gear or otherwise prevent the effects of local radiation?
