I just got done making 2 XLR>TRS cables, and 2 TRS>TRS cables with materials from RedCo. And needless to say, I am now ADDICTED to making my own cables and wishing I did this years ago!
I bought Canare L-4E6S Quad mic cable, 2 Neutrik NC3FX-B XLRs, and 4 Neutrik NP3X-B TRS connectors.
My question is... Can I use these same materials for everything?
On RedCo's site they show Balanced/Line Level, Mic, Instrument and Speaker cable. I am using the 2 XLR>TRS with mics, and the 2 TRS>TRS with instruments and no problems so far.
If I order all this same material, will I be able to use them to run XLR>TRS from my monitors>interface. Or should I be looking into the cable speaker for this? [if so which model #?].
Same deal with the balanced/line level and instrument cables? I'd like to make some patch cables too, I guess I could use the line level for this?
Any help will be appreciated in trying to clear this up. Thanks!
