I've been a user of Airwindows plugins for over 6 years. I have several of the plugins. The site has been redesigned and there are now several new plugins I wasn't aware of. They seem great, but I'm hesitant to buy them because I'm actually quite confused about which plugins do what. It appears many do similar processes and some new ones are based on older ones. The price is cheap, but gets expensive when you're always having to replace it with something new and improved. Right now I use Desk 4, ToTape 4, ToVinyl 2 in my mastering chain. I used to finish it it off with ADClip 4, but the sound always seemed to thin with ADClip and distort clipping past 2-3dB. I now use Vlagd/Sound Limiter No. 6 in it's place as well as in Stillwell Bombardier buss compressor place.
I also have IronOxide and Vacuum from Airwindows, but at this point, I'm confused about what Console and ConsoleBuss and all these other plugins do that I'm either getting already or not getting with the ones I currently own, which ones they have replaced or which ones they've been replaced by. The founder, Chris Johnson, is a great guy and always helpful, but sometimes his way of explaining things goes over my head. He's too damn smart. Lol. Anyway, how do some of you use Airwindows Plugins?
