This is pretty dumb of me, I know, but I had my Virus Polar on my lap earlier, and had a cable running in to my stereo.
Very rare I do this, as it's usually on its stand.
However, I removed the power cable, but not the audio cable. Then I stood up...
Crunch. It basically broke the headphone input (I had the cable in there) and the little metal ring has fallen out, and there was a fair bit of broken black plastic around. It no longer works. However, the normal audio outs, and the synth work as per normal.
I've just phucked the headphone cable.
Idiot of the highest order, I know.
I've checked on Access, and the nearest service point is apparently in Germany.
Anyone had a similar problem with their Virus that's required it needing a repair. I'm wondering if it'd be worth trying to obtain a replacement headphone input from them and getting my own tech to repair it.
