I would like my next daw to be a mini-ITX Haswell 4770K. I would like it to be small and quiet(ish).
Was considering this case:
Thermaltake - U.S.A. - Core V1 - CA-1B8-00S1WN-00
The plan is to install an existing Radeon 7850 (because i have it), but run separate video outs to the same monitor, one from the motherboard, one from the graphics card so I can disable the Radeon when using it as a DAW.
The cpu will be cooled with a Corsair H-series water cooler that I already have.
Because the case is relatively open and water cooled, I only anticipate needing the one very quiet 120mm radiator fan, no case fans (even though the linked case has a large quiet fan in the front.)
I will be installing a silent or no-fan power supply.
With an open case like this, how quiet will it be, or should I look into a more enclosed or noise-blocking case and forget about getting the silent power supply?
