Hey there,
I have been having noise issues since forever. I want to kill them dead now.
They start from 41db gain on the Apogee Duet.
I have turned it to 63 to exaggurate the effect in the clip below.
My power outlets are noisey and don't having grounding upstairs.
The speakers react to the lightswitch downstairs. Not ideal.
How can I solve this? I have three idea's:
1. Buy a Cloudlifter type device to get it to below 41db of gain (which is noise free to the ear at least) Seems a temporary fix, though.
2. UPS - Uninterruptible power supply, so the power outlet is isolated. Unless this won't help because that is not grounded in the first place.
3. Get an electricien to fix the outlets.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Outlet via extension cord (no lamps/tv in it) > Computer > Apogee Duet > Studio B1 recording "silence" (supposedly)
