Neumann Vintage preamp and a FMR compressor

Hi



I've a neumann v472-2. Amazing pre, but there are no insert. Just two balanced XLR in, and two balanced XLR out.



I wanna use a FMR RNLA, so I must put it after the neumann out:

Preamp->Comp->Converter.



My question is: can use four normal cable XLR to unbalanced jack? Because the Neumann is balance and the FMR is unbalance!hjghfgg

Will it works? And the sound that come out from the FMR is unbalanced? Even if I go into the converter with a XLR?

On my converter must I choose +4(balance) or -10(unbalance) ???
