I bought a new MIDI Keyboard recently (M-Audio Oxygen 25 3rd gen) just for getting ideas down while I'm living/travelling abroad. I got a sustain pedal with it that seemed to work fine but all of a sudden start having issues.
Basically, I turn on the keyboard and plug in the sustain pedal and the numbers "00" come up indicating sustain OFF. There is permanently no sustain and when I press the pedal nothing happens and no signal is being sent. When I unplug the sustain pedal from the keyboard, all of a sudden it says "127" and the sustain is ON permanently... when I plug it back into the keyboard the sustain turns OFF again... vice versa. All the while - pressing the pedal up and down doesn't seem to trigger any events.
It's extremely frustrating. It's as if it thinks the sustain ON and OFF is associated with the cord being connected and disconnected from the socket on my keyboard. WTF ?
PS. I've tried factory reset many times on the keyboard but still no luck
