Recommendations for studio monitors if possible.

I am new to audio systems. I know all the basics and fundamentals, from what I have read online and through text, but regardless, there is too much information, and too much gear. I need help choosing monitors for my home. I am interested in music as a hobby, and would like to be able to record, mix, and playback music with accuracy. As I have read, the mid range is key to a good mix, but is often lacking due to environment, phase shifting/interference, and overall quality of the speakers.

Some monitors I have looked at but cant decide on in no particular order:

$

*Focal Alpha 65

*Yamaha HS8

*Equator D8 (What are potential pro's and con's of coaxial active speakers?)

$$$

*Genelec 8030B

*Adam A7X

*Equator Q10

Some things to take into consideration if you choose to help:

*Main sound source will be a computer transmitting audio to Yamaha MG10XU mixer.

*$1000 and under price range for a pair of monitors

*I have smaller than average ears.

*Would be nice if monitors had a relatively low extension (40hz or lower) as I would like to NOT buy a sub due to budget constraints.

*Record and monitor vocals, dance, jazz, and rock.

*I would like to record live audio via Analog and Digital formats at some point.

*Playback from devices other than a computer (phonograph, CD, portable amplifier).

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
