I don't understand how professionals monitor on their dsp sound cards. I think it's really cool to have this feature, but what happens when you have to do things like punch record. Does the engineer have to mute everything that the singer is punching in so it isn't heard while monitoring on the sound card? I would really like to utilize an interface like unl8 but that would be the only issue really. The workflow just doesn't seem right. I'm working off a Mac book pro 2013 2.8gig on pro tools 10 and I can't seem to do anything below 128 before my computer begins to crap out. Any tips and tricks to use while tracking on Mac book pros? Lots of pops and clicks
