AMD Radeon R9 280X 3GB - Take it or not?

I decided to buy a used 2012 Mac Pro 12-Core (http://ift.tt/1wceMle). I am happy with it's configuration. The only thing that bothers me is this graphics card. It is seriously tested on the net by games players, but I noticed it's not too popular neither here nor on the DUC.

I need to connect 4 monitors to it. The seller told me I will be able to do it by using special dual link adapters. I still don't know how would I do that...

At the moment I use 2 GT120 cards and my connections look like this:

1. GT 120 card ->

-> DVI -> monitor 1

-> mini disp.port to DVI -> monitor 2

2. GT 120 card -> HDMI Splitter ->

-> main TV (where I put the video window)

-> VO booth TV (mirror of the main TV)

With this configuration on my current Mac Pro (2009 quad-core) I have serious problems with video stutter (described here: Video stutter - please help! - Avid Pro Audio Community), so I'm a little paranoid about the graphics. At the same time my knowledge about this topic is close to zero.

Will this card do and let me work without the stutter?

If anyone has any experience with this particular card, or has other recommendations, or simply has bigger understanding of the topic, than I, please chime in!

Kate
