Retro Popsong Mix-Off

guys, i need your help - i need your vision. this is a song i don't know what to do about. i tried it in many ways. it should sound retro, but it is also a modern song, so a complete/total 60's fidelity sound doesn't seem to work.



i went a bit overboard with the mics by experimenting to much with old dynamic omni mics: the drums and the banjo (which in reality is a small gretsch dandy flat top acoustic guitar but i tried making a banjo out of it) do sound like a demo. even the vocals were sung into an old beyer m55 omni dynamic mic.



so please have a go! make it lo-fi, hi-fi, no-fi, make it retro, make it punk, distort it, bend it, polish it - whatever you like.

what i like? spring reverb, old 60s chambers, fuzz, tremolo, tape delay, tape ...



here's the bounced wav files, 21 mono tracks with some fancy ones: the "elvis" mic is a shure "elvis" mic placed in the kit, very trashy! :lol: the drums were recorded with the glyn johns 2 mic technique, "OH mono" and "OH tom" should give you the picture of the drums.
