Looking for something PAFish except I like wax-potted pickups...
Thinking about just getting a set of Seth Lovers with the potting from the SD Custom Shop. Dig the tone, and have the original/unpotted versions on a couple guitars here.
I'm thinking about replacing some SH1s in a particular guitar which are actually just fine in terms of something mass-produced IMO but I'd like something with a little more sparkle in the upper mids. Don't want crazy overwound high-output anything either.
Already have a guitar with Fralin Pure PAFs too so don't suggest those - those are also unpotted though.
Let's pretend for now that budget is not a problem and I'll see how it goes. :)
