FMR A.R.C. - Instrument Processor

I first purchased the A.R.C. for a friend who needed a compressor pedal for bass guitar. The A.R.C. has a great frequency handling capacity allowing it to successfully process bass guitar frequencies as well as normal guitar and a dynamic range of 110dB and impressive specs such as 0.005%THD. It's a studio grade stomp box!

I loved the sound, so I purchased one for myself. The ARC is a standard piece of kit for my bass and acoustic guitar duties. It can work as a boost, a DI, a signal splitter (one DI the other instrument level) and of course a compressor with a huge range of potential.. Yet it's controls are alarmingly simple.

I can't stress enough the importance of reading the manual for the A.R.C.

I was going to mark it 4 for features but they've really tried to think of everything; even taking care of ground lift with a supplied plastic screw. The friendly blue light let's you know when compression is being applied and it can be transparent and lift your instrument in the mix, all the way through to profound affected signal. It's hard to describe the more profound effected signal but it's solid, yet not heavy, with a slight feeling of drive yet without distortion. It's versatile.

I use it on bass with the straight instrument level (effected) going to my amp and the DI going to a line-level input on my pre-amp. That gives me the sound of my amp (mic'd) and a great compression with DI.
