Hello there,
i wanted to upgrade my old firewire interface (motu 828) for mostly location acoustic/classical recordings. I needed at least 6 inputs with possibility to add more.
My first idea was the steinberg Ur 824, because it has 8 xlr inputs with clean/good preamps (for integrated preamps...) and it seems a good interface with nice ad/da.
Then i begin to think of adding a nice two channels preamps like the audient mico to have something better for the main mics.
And then i realize the Audient id22 has an adat in so it can expand to 10 inputs (if i am correct) with really good audio quality !
So now i think about getting an audient id 22 + an audient asp008 in second hand for 10 inputs with reals good preamps.
What do you think about the two options and will i really gain to have the audient preamps instead of the steinberg/yamahas ?
Thanks.
