afternoon all,
Im currently working on a sci-fi short film. Its all set on a spaceship in lockdown, in which a father and daughter are separated by a glass partition. Seeing as all of the dialogue is delivered from behind this partition (in reality its a thin piece of plexi glass) I've been playing around with different treatment on the dialogue. There is a whole pitfall of problems i found with effecting the size of this partition from the clarity of the dialogue to the emotion of the scene and i was wondering if anyone has any experience treating dialogue in this way and good offer any tips?
i recently re watched The latest Star Trek film and there is a scene in a similar setting that caught my ear.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LThIRkpYtI
The clarity of dialogue in the scene in both emotion and intelligibility works brilliantly and i was wondering if anyone has any insight into similar successful treatments?
many thanks!
