Somebody i know offered me either of these at a good price and i won't really have chance to test them out. I know neither are really great but its just for a bit of home recording..
Anyway, Has anybody has experience of these?
I heard the VC3 Ted Fletcher designs are the better ones of the early ones. Also the modern ThreeQ's are really a different company now and completely different circuits etc, just kept the Joemeek name and the green design...
Any idea which is the better option. Obviously the ThreeQ has the EQ section which I'm not too bothered about, although its there if i ever want to. I'm more bothered about it just as a pre amp and possibly the compressor section too. So if you remove the EQ section, which is the better mic pre and compressor of the two?
