Mix advice needed for Modern/heavy/rock band

Hello all I've been a long time audio nut/Gearslutz reader, however this is my first post. I have been studying recording for sometime now and am in need of some feedback to help accelerate my growth as a engineer. This is a snippet of a demo I've been working on with my band. This is probably my 3rd or 4th ever attempt at recording and mixing a decent sounding song from scratch myself. I actually recorded this a good while back (before I learned some new key things for the tracking process), but I went ahead and attempted mixing the tune anyway just for practice. I would love any constructive feedback, and or tips.

Personally the issue I'm most dissatisfied with is the kick. I cant seem to get it to cut and have that nice full up front sound.



Rig: Macbook pro 16gb ram. Protools10, Profire 2626, assorted Wavs plugins.
