Hey guys,
Before all the Black Friday deals go away, I'm looking at adding some tools to my arsenal to add some subtle analogue warmth to orchestral and synth stuff (mostly u-he Diva). So if it's good for rock/hip-hop/etc, it's probably not what I'm looking for. :)
I already picked up Slate VTM which is really fantastic! Even just slapping it on a master at the very end works some pretty cool magic. Unfortunately I'm not really able to use it on a per-track basis, because even when all instances are bypassed, there's still considerable latency (I'm using DP8). I'm not sure yet if this is a DP8 issue or a VTM issue. I could, of course, just add all the instances once I'm ready to print the cue, but I'd really rather have a template where the instances are sitting in bypass mode ready to go.
Anyway, I'm looking at maybe either Slate VCC or Waves Scheps 73 to throw on individual tracks to add some interesting color and warmth. But I'm open to suggestions. Pretty much my only requirements are:
I should also mention that I've got the VCC demo, but it's pretty buggy for me. For some reason, when I adjust the various controls in the plugin window, the host (any of them: DP, Audition, etc) becomes non-responsive to mouse clicks and key commands. I have to alt-tab to something else then alt-tab back to the sequencer to kick it out of its locked up state.
Hit me with some recommendations! Thanks!

- Must be Mac-compatible
- No hardware required (e.g. UAD plugins)
- $150'ish or under
