A little help ... I'm looking for a piece to add to my set up that would suit my needs. Any advice is appreciated.
I am using a RME HDSPe madi and Alphalink SX and have used all the analogue outputs on the Alphalink and still have 2 AES DSUB 25s left to route signal.
I desire to add a total of 16 mic pres, while also using 4 - 8 channels of the outputs on one of the AES dsubs to simuntanenously send mixes to a separate headphone amp. I would like to accomplish this with no more than 2 pieces - as I plan to add an audient asp 880 and get at least 8 channels of decent pre - but I still need 8 more pres and some outs.
Is there a 8 channel mic pre converter with d/a for the output that anyone would recommend - needs AES dsub to interface with the alphalink.
I looked at the RME pieces with mic pres - but the the octamic 2 doesn't have d/a for the outs for my head phone mixer and I'm not sure the Micstacy would work either ... but I'm not sure.
