Avid Control 24 or Tascam US-2400

I recently have come to the point in working on my album, where I need more diverse mixing solutions. The 8 faders + rotary knobs on my MPD32 don't make mixing very easy or creative.



I want to get a motorized controller with 24 faders. 24 should cover my needs for most songs I've tracked.



I'm using Ableton 9 on a Mac running Snow Leopard.



I can get either the Avid with an Argosy desk, or the Tascam (no desk) for the same price. Both under 1k.



What would anyone recommend?
