Best Interface under $2k

So I recently purchased my first high end piece of hardware, a Crane Song 192. It was quite a big jump from my $400 Focusrite Saffire Pro 24.

I produce/master mainly electronic dance music, so my processing set up has been in the box up to this point.

Well I am ready to upgrade my interface because I now feel like I am trying to drive a Lamborghini with Ford Focus tires.

Right now I have the 192 going to the Saffire via SPDIF I/O, using the 192's clock, and monitoring out of the 192's outs. Not only do I feel I am holding the Crane Song 192's full potential back using it with a Saffire, but I am experiencing clocking issues causing the session's tempo to fluctuate after it warms up. Crane Song tech support told me that I need an interface with dedicated wordclock I/O's (which Saffire doesn't have) to resolve this.

Can anyone recommend their favorite or best option for my scenario that is $2,000 or under?

I've heard alot of good things about the RME interfaces. As well as the Big Ben, but isn't that strictly a word clock? I've also been looking hard at the UAD Apollo interfaces since I already use UAD plug ins quite a bit and could benefit from the extra DSP as a bonus.

Suggestions or advice please and thank you!! :)
