Console: dust cover when not in use?

I have recently bought an analog console for my studio (Studer 963) and now I am wondering whether I should cover it with a dust cover every night.



I know it off course will help keeping it clean but is it advisable for technical reasons. For instance to keep the faders clean and smooth.



Any advice?
