Getting Specific Drum Sounds

Hey guys,

This is gonna be a pretty vague question/s, but I'm curious how to get a couple specific drum sounds.

I don't have a lot of money for high end/vintage mics, pres, outboard gear, so I'd like any advice on how to prep the drum sets and any miking technique you would know to get as close to specific drum sounds I'm looking for. I just bought a pair of oktava MK012 microphones for overheads. I have 3 SM57s I use for top/bottom snare and high hat and EV PL33/PL35 for the toms/kick and I have 2 Behringer B1s. One I use as a room, the other is placed over the shoulder of the drummer aimed in between the kick and snare.

With the microphones I have, what would be the best way to get as close to the following drum sounds:

- That flat sounding tone from the 70s. Specific song example - Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.

- That huge fat sound on modern Country records. Specific song example - Pretty much any top 10 country hit on the radio right now.

- That flat but still punchy sounding classic punk sound. Specific song example - Blitzkrieg Bop - Ramones

Again, I am well aware that these songs are recorded with much more expensive microphones I have, on more expensive gear I don't have in rooms I don't have. I know I can't replicate these sounds perfectly unless I use the exact gear they used. I just want to know any advice you guys may have on coming as close to those sounds as possible with what I got.

If there are any samples or replacement plugins that have samples that would fit these tones, what are some good ones so I can combine those samples with the recorded raw drums?

Thanks guys. Have a good Saturday.
